Celebrate the Joy of Christmas at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church

As the season of Advent draws near and the spirit of Christmas fills the air, we at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church invite you to join us in celebrating the birth of our Savior. This time of year offers us a wonderful opportunity to come together in worship, reflect on the gift of Jesus Christ, and embrace the joy and hope that the Christmas season brings.

Advent Services: Sundays at 9:30AM

At St. Stephen's, we cherish the chance to welcome both long-time members and visitors into our church family during this holy season. Our Advent services are designed to be a time of warmth, connection, and reflection as we come together to honor the birth of Jesus Christ. Whether you’ve been part of our congregation for years or are attending for the first time, we invite you to share in this meaningful celebration with us.

Midweek Advent Prayer Service

December 4, 11 & 18 at 7:00PM

During this busy holiday season, we invite you to take a moment to pause and reconnect with God and community through our casual 20-minute Midweek Advent Prayer Service, held every Wednesday at 7:00 PM. This short, reflective service will once again feature the beautiful "Holden Evening Prayer," with its folk-style music that creates a peaceful and calming atmosphere. It’s a lovely way to center yourself in the midst of holiday preparations, offering a brief but meaningful time of prayer, song, and reflection. We encourage you to join us as we gather together in faith and fellowship to prepare our hearts for the joy of Christmas.

Christmas Eve Services for Every Family

We have planned two special services on Christmas Eve to accommodate the needs of families, children, and all who seek to celebrate in their own unique way.

  1. Family-Friendly Service at 3:00 PM This service is tailored for families with children and will include elements that are sure to bring joy to little hearts. Expect to hear the beautiful story of Jesus' birth, take part in Holy Communion, and sing a special candlelight hymn to close the service. It’s a wonderful way to introduce children to the wonder of the Christmas story and to share in the joy of the season as a family.

  2. Traditional Candlelight Service at 7:00 PM For those who prefer a more traditional experience, our 7:00 PM Christmas Eve service will be a beautiful, joyous celebration of Christ’s birth. This service will feature Holy Communion, as well as special music and the warmth of candlelight that fills the sanctuary. Together, we will reflect on the greatest gift of all: the birth of Jesus Christ.

A Season of Hope and Joy

Christmas is a time to rejoice, to share with loved ones, and to be reminded of the gift of hope that we have through Jesus Christ. At St. Stephen’s, we invite you to make this Christmas season even more special by worshipping with us. Our services are a wonderful way to experience the peace and joy that Christ’s birth brings, whether you’re gathering with family or reflecting on the deeper meaning of the season.

Merry Christmas, and we look forward to seeing you at our Advent and Christmas Eve services!
